Screw Staples—You Don't Need Any with This Stapleless Paper Trick

Metal stapler next to a pile of metal staples.

Staples may be an office staple when it comes to joining sheets of paper together, but they're a pain in the ass if you ask me. They're annoying to take out, you can't shred 'em, and they eventually loosen up. Plus, staplers tend to stop working right when you need them the most.

There are staple-free staplers out there which use voodoo magic to bind sheets up paper together with a quick cut, fold, and tuck. It's the greener and cheaper way to lock your documents together, which means no more spending money on boxes of glued-together staple strips.

Truth be told, you don't even need that contraption to cast its mechanical spell on your college-ruled. Just grab a knife, cut a slit, then fold and tuck.

Now, this isn't going to work on like 50 sheets of paper or anything, but it should hold together just fine with 4 or 5 pieces, and it looks way cooler than a metal piercing.
